Tablas Creek, Halter Ranch wineries recognized for sustainable practices
Neighboring Paso Robles wineries Tablas Creek Vineyard and Halter Ranch Vineyard won two of four awards recently at the second annual California Green Medal: Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership Awards.
Halter Ranch was awarded the Environment Award for preserving 1,700 acres of its property, conserving, capturing and reusing water, and protecting wildlife and plant habitats.
Tablas Creek won the Community Award, recognizing its donations and work with local charities, sustainability workshops, and employment practices, including full benefits, wine shares, profit sharing and educational support for full- and part-time workers.
