Country rocker Don Henley is headed to the California Mid-State Fair this summer, taking the stage at the Chumash Grandstand Arena on July 26.

Best known as a founding member of the Eagles, Henley served as the legendary rock band’s drummer and shared lead vocals duties with guitarist Glen Frey, who died Jan. 18.

When the band behind “Hotel California” and “Take It Easy” broke up in 1980, Henley launched his solo career, releasing his debut album “I Can’t Stand Still” in 1982. His solo hits include “Dirty Laundry,” “The Boys of Summer” and “All She Wants to Do Is Dance.”

In addition to the six Grammy Awards he shares with the Eagles, Henley has won two Grammys for his solo work. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with his Eagles bandmates in 1998. Henley’s most recent solo album is “Cass Country,” which hit store shelves in September.

Tickets for Henley’s July 26 show cost $36 to $86 and go on sale April 22.

The California Mid-State Fair runs July 20 through July 31 at the Paso Robles Event Center, 219 Riverside Ave. in Paso Robles For more information, call 1-800-909-FAIR (3247) or visit www.midstatefair.com.
