San Luis Obispo keeps raking in the accolades.
We’re the healthiest, the happiest and now one of the fittest communities in the United States, according to a recent Gallup-Sharecare poll based on 2016 data.
San Luis Obispo, which the survey defines as the San Luis Obispo-Paso Robles-Arroyo Grande area, ranked third, just below Boulder, Colorado, and Fort Collins, Colorado. The rankings were based on the percentage of respondents in each of 189 communities in the United States who reported that they exercise 30 or more minutes for three or more days in the past week, according to the survey.
Sixty-seven percent of SLO-area residents reported exercising regularly, and with no shortage of outdoor activities in our area, that’s not surprising.
