49ers linebacker Fred Warner wins new fans as Super Bowl commentator

Fred Warner may not be giving up his day job any time soon, but according to online fans, the 49ers linebacker has a future in broadcasting.

Warner was a Super Bowl LX commentator as the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

He played college football for the Brigham Young University Cougars and was selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft.

“Fred Warner on the analysis desk is elite,” read one comment on X.

But others expressed confusion.

“Why is Fred Warner up there?” read another comment on X.

“What is Fred Warner doing here?” read another comment.

Warner, a four-time All-Pro, missed most of the last season with an ankle injury.
