San Luis Obispo Blues head coach Jamie Clark has resigned a little more than a month into his second season at the helm of the California Collegiate League team.
Clark told The Tribune he stepped down last week but declined to provide his reason for the move. The Blues are 12-11 this season, and Clark led them to a 32-16 record last summer.
Clark, a Tulare native who played collegiately at Fresno State, relinquished his role on the SLO Blues non-profit Board of Directors after four seasons before becoming the skipper for the Blues in 2015.
Blues general manager Adam Stowe was unavailable for comment Sunday.
Clay Cederquist, a former assistant coach, will step into head coaching duties according to the SLO Blues’ website. Cederquist was an outfield, offense and first base coach at American River College for the 2015-2016 season before joining the Blues.
