Morro Bay High boys golf team downs Santa Ynez
The Morro Bay High boys golf team edged Santa Ynez, 224-231, on Monday at Morro Bay Golf Course.
The Pirates improved to 6-1 in dual matches, good for a tie for first place in head-to-head competition, and are in fourth place overall.
Garrett Holdstock and Rayce Francis, two seniors playing in their final match at the par-35 Morro Bay course, shot 41s to lead the Pirates.
Santa Ynez’s Tanner Shean was the medalist, carding a 38.
Morro Bay plays in the Los Padres League weekly tournament on Thursday at La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc.
