John San Jule picked up his only hit of the game when it mattered most for the Mission Prep baseball team, beating out an infield single that scored Marco Ferdinandi to beat Atascadero 6-5 in 10 innings on Tuesday.

Ferdinandi was 3 for 5 with two singles, a double and two runs for Mission Prep and Sage Pera had a two-run home run — his second of the season — a double, three RBI and a run scored.

Pera’s home run tied the game in the 10th before San Jule’s single. Renn Duncan added two doubles, an RBI and a run scored for the Royals.

One doesn’t simply score runs on Jake Rodgers.

The senior San Luis Obispo pitcher continued his streak of not allowing an earned run in a 4-3 road win over Paso Robles on Tuesday. His ERA remains 0.00.

Paso Robles did jump out to an early 3-0 lead in the game, though, with all three runs coming as a result of Tigers’ throwing errors.

Rodgers gave up four hits, walked one and struck out seven in the complete game.

Shane Wyatt sparked the Eagles offense, reaching base four times with three hits and a walk. He also scored twice. Jared Money was 2 for 3 with two hits. Justice Gibbons was also 2 for 3 with a walk, and it was his bases-clearing double that sealed the victory in the sixth.
