Arroyo Grande linebacker Sam Ness announces scholarship offer from Cornell
Arroyo Grande linebacker Sam Ness announced his first college offer on Tuesday, though it probably won’t be his last.
The 6-foot-1, 220-pound soon-to-be senior revealed that Cornell University has extended a scholarship offer.
“Beyond blessed to be able to announce that I've received my first offer from Cornell University!” Ness tweeted.

It seems to be a good fit. In his NCSA profile Ness writes, “I would love to play at Stanford or at an Ivy League School but I'm open to playing anywhere I can get a top flight education. Education comes first for me.”
Ness led Arroyo Grande with 139 total tackles, eight for a loss, as a middle linebacker in his junior season.
