Nipomo softball team loses to Orcutt Academy

The Nipomo High softball team lost to Orcutt Academy 9-1 on Friday at home.

The Titans stranded 10 runners on base in their loss. After loading the bases with back-to-back-to-back walks in the sixth, Kiesa Romero hit into a fielders choice to give Nipomo its only run.

Hope Goodall pitched a complete game for Nipomo, giving up only three earned runs, and she had six strikeouts.

Nipomo (3-4, 0-2 Los Padres League) returns to action on Saturday, with a doubleheader against Carpinteria.
