Prep boys volleyball: Morro Bay, Arroyo Grande open with wins

The Arroyo Grande boys volleyball team opened the season with a 25-18, 25-19, 26-24 win over Templeton. Jackson Tourdot had seven kills and three blocks and Ryan Meffert had a team-high 10 kills. AJ Panetta added four kills and Sasha Bylsma recorded 10 assists.

Arroyo Grande takes on Santa Ynez on Thursday.

Morro Bay also got a straight-set win over Paso Robles on Tuesday night.

Dustin Limon led Morro with 10 kills and 10 blocks in the 25-20, 25-15, 25-9 win.

Dexter Marquardt added 15 kills and 12 digs and Theo Mackey had 32 assists for the Pirates.

Morro Bay will play St. Joseph on Thursday.
