Paso Robles High boys wrestling team sends eight to CIF-Southern Section tournament

The Paso Robles High boys wrestling team took fourth place as a team at the PAC 8 Wrestling Championship on Saturday.

John Cabal placed first at 195 pounds, and Hunter Devereck was second at 170. Mike Dominguez (138), Nathan Garcia (145), Julian Madrigal (152), Blake Irish (285) and Dade Murphy (113) each placed third in their respective weight classes.

Kris Sanchez was fourth at 120 and Kobe Feely (126), Roman Maciel (220) and Cory Southward (106) placed fifth in their divisions.

Kyle Miller was sixth at 160.

Fifth-place winners are alternates for the CIF-Southern Section tournament, and the top four will compete at the CIF-Southern Section competition held at Marina High School in Huntington Beach next weekend.
