Prep boys basketball: Atascadero tops Pioneer Valley 58-49

The Atascadero boys basketball team beat Pioneer Valley 58-49 at home on Friday. Marco Rojas had 16 points, Gabe Perry had 15 points and six rebounds and Elijah Cooks had nine points and six assists for the Greyhounds (18-7, 10-4 PAC 8) on Senior Night.

The Greyhounds will prepare for the CIF playoffs which begin next Wednesday, and find out their opponent on Sunday.

St. Joseph 68, Arroyo Grande 56

Patrick Angle led the Eagles with 16 points and Bradley Mickey added 10 more. AJ Panetta chipped in 12 points. The Eagles held the lead 23-16 after the first quarter, but a seven point second quarter left Arroyo Grande trailing at the break 38-30.
