Prep girls basketball: Mission Prep tops Paso Robles 46-26

Noelle Laird had a team-high 13 points, and Jennifer Laird and Jacquliene San Jule each had five assists as Mission Prep topped Paso Robles 46-26.

Ani Boncich posted 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Royals (9-7, 3-2 PAC 8).

Grace Rosa scored 14 points, and Kimberley Buchanan had six points in the loss for Paso Robles (3-12, 2-3 PAC 8).

San Luis Obispo 46, Atascadero 43

The Tigers survived a late rally by the Greyhounds after posting a six-point lead at the half.

Whitney Burns had 18 points, and Lorin Tapp chipped in with seven for San Luis Obispo (9-7, 2-3 PAC 8).

“Tonight, we finished the game,” coach Dan Monroe said. “We played with a little more composure down the stretch.”

Ariana Gonzales had 16 points, and Briana Vellanueva had nine for Atascadero, who outscored the Tigers 17-13 in the final quarter.

San Luis Obispo plays St. Joseph on Wednesday.

Coast Union 34, Coastal Christian 28

Karis Lawson scored 11 points and had eight rebounds, nine steals and four assists in the Broncos’ win.

Meg Stern added 10 points and 14 rebounds, and Reagan Kniffen notched five points, three steals and five assists.

Coast Union (4-5, 4-1 Coast Valley League) moves into second place behind Valley Christian. The Broncos play next Friday at Shandon.
