The Atascadero High girls soccer team broke a 0-0 halftime tie with two second-half goals in a 2-0 win over Paso Robles on Monday night.
Casey Dempsey scored 10 minutes into the second half, and Rachael Foley scored 16 minutes later, off an assist from Serena Ramirez, for the Greyhounds (8-1-1, 1-1-0 PAC 8).
Skyler Flemming made one save.
‘We dominated the whole game,” Atascadero coach Miguel Figueroa said. “Their goalkeeper had a lot of saves.”
Paso Robles fell to 3-5-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the PAC 8.
Mission Prep 1, Arroyo Grande 0
Maddie Morley buried the game-winning goal for Mission Prep agianst Arroyo Grande on Monday night in the second overtime period and the Royals hung on for the win.
The game was tied at the end of regulation and the first period of overtime also ended goalless. In the fourth minute of the second overtime period Jenna Miller sent a through ball to Maddie Morley and she dribbled into the box and placed a shot to the lower left side of the keeper.
Mission Prep had a total of 14 shots and Gabby Flores returned to goal after suffering an injury and made seven saves for the Royals.
Mission Prep is now 8-3 overall and 2-0 in the PAC 8. The Royals’ next game is Wednesday at home against St. Joseph.
Arroyo Grande hosts Paso Robles on Wednesday.

Joella Holmes scored twice, and the Tigers rolled to a PAC 8 win.
Grace Park also scored and had an assist for the unbeaten Tigers (10-0-1, 3-0-0 PAC 8). Isabel Mendoza and Alex Romero also had assists.
Goalkeeper Eislee Sohner made two saves for San Luis Obispo.
