Prep boys soccer roundup: Paso Robles beats Atascadero
The Paso Robles High boys soccer team earned a 2-1 victory over Atascadero on Monday night, the Bearcats’ first PAC 8 win of the season.
Jose Cuara scored off an assist from Sergio Torres in the first half, and Alexis Saavedra scored what proved to be the game-winner in the second half.
The Greyounds scored with 10 minutes remaining in the half to make it 2-1.
Goalkeeper Victor Rodriguez mades six saves for the Bearcats (6-4-4, 1-1-0 PAC 8).
San Luis Obispo 1, Righetti 1
Vaughn Pavlovich scored 15 minutes into the game for the Tigers.
Righetti scored the tying goal as time ran out in the second half.
“It was somewhat controversial, I would say,” San Luis Obispo coach James Boscaro said.
Goalkeeper Benji Alonso made five saves for the Tigers (7-2-2, 1-0-1 PAC 8).
