In the navy division, San Luis Obispo wrapped up a 5-0 record over the two day tournament. The Tigers beat Morro Bay and Hueneme on Friday and Paso Robles, Atascadero and Pacifica on Saturday.
The last match of the day, and the toughest according to coach Stephen Jomaoas, was against Pacifica. The match was tied 3-3 at the half, but Samantha Wright came off the bench to spark the Tigers to an 8-6 win.
“She gave us the momentum to carry us through,” Jomaoas said. “She has a great outside shot.”
The Tigers beat Atascadero 9-2 and Paso Robles 6-4.
Addi Foster scored 16 goals over the weekend and goalie Rachel Lovato registered 18 saves in the five games.
The Tigers won the navy division and improved to 10-5 on the season. San Luis Obispo is 1-1 in league play and have a PAC 8 showdown with Arroyo Grande on Tuesday.
