Paso Robles 11, Santa Maria 0

Paso Robles senior goalie Kelsey Lewis got her first career shutout in a 11-0 win over Santa Maria on Thursday night.

Lauren Root had three goals, and Makenna Pugh added two goals, an assist and two steals for Paso Robles (6-3, 0-1 PAC 8).

Paso Robles coach Grant East said Lewis is going for the school record in saves; she missed the record by seven last season.

Lewis has at least 10 saves in every match this season, and had 16 saves in a 7-2 loss to Oxnard earlier this season.

Lewis will have to wait until 2016 to chase the record, when Paso Robles takes on Pioneer Valley on Jan. 7.

Atascadero 14, Morro Bay 4

Faith Archibald scored seven goals for the Atascadero girls water polo team en route to a win against Morro Bay on Thursday night.

Atascadero (5-5) held Morro Bay scoreless in the second half in the 14-4 win.

Brooke Story and Lilly Holloway added two goals each for the Greyhounds. Paige Coburn and Tina Bell combined for 11 saves in net.

After the holiday break, Atascadero hosts San Luis Obispo in a league match.
