Morro Bay High water polo team takes fifth at LPL tournament

The Morro Bay boys water polo team topped Santa Maria 10-8 in the Los Padres League tournament Thursday, finishing in fifth place.

Filippo Mauritzi scored six goals, Evan Weisberg had two and Julian Putnam and Jack Malzone each had one.

Hiram Burres notched 13 saves as goalie for the Pirates (12-11).
