San Luis Obispo High girls tennis wins first-round playoff match
Behind strong doubles play Wednesday afternoon, the San Luis Obispo High girls tennis team went on the road and defeated Glendora High, 11-7, in the first round of the CIF playoffs.
Sami Good and Maddie Handy won their three singles sets, 6-1, 6-1, 6-1. McKenzie Berkshire and Amberly Clark teamed up to win their doubles sets by scores of 7-5, 4-6 and 7-5.
In singles, Jenny Zakaria won two of three sets, 6-0, 0-6, 6-0.
San Luis Obispo (15-5) will likely host a second-round match at 2 p.m. Friday.
