Arroyo Grande girls tennis knocks off Crescenta Valley in playoff match

Delanie Dunkle won her three singles sets 6-1, 6-0, 6-0 to pace the Arroyo Grande girls tennis team during its 11-7 playoff victory against Crescenta Valley Wednesday afternoon.

Mary Waterman also took three sets for the Eagles by scores of 6-3, 6-0 and 6-2, and Erika Egg picked up another point with a 6-3 set victory.

In doubles, Gillian Burns and Emma Mostajo overcame a 2-6 defeat in their first set to win two more, 6-3, 6-4. Josephine Graeber and Lauren Midyett added two more set victories in the doubles competition, 6-4, 6-4.

Arroyo Grande improved to 18-3 overall and will play the winner of Temecula Valley and Beverly Hills on the road Friday.
