Nipomo’s Brooke Cuzick places second at Los Padres League Golf Final

Nipomo High’s Brooke Cuzick took second at the Los Padres League Finals, shooting a 39, one stroke off medalist Devan McCune of Cabrillo on the front-nine of the Rancho Maria Golf Course on Thursday. Cabrillo won the team portion, carding a 249 total, followed by Lompoc, who had 263. Morro Bay was third at 268, and Nipomo was fourth at 272.

Kelly Dudley had the low for Morro Bay at 48, followed by Olivia Sisneros, who carded a 51 and Alyssa Noreiga who had a 55.

Cara Frank shot a 54, Brooke Panardi posted a 58 and Chelsea Michael had a 59 for Nipomo.

Cabrillo earns a CIF berth as a team and Baylee Gregory of Cabrillo, McCune, Cuzick and Lompoc’s Kendall Martin earn individual CIF berths.

This is the second year in a row that Cuzick has made the CIF top four.
