Prep volleyball roundup: Mission Prep sweeps St. Joseph

The Mission Prep girls volleyball team swept St. Jospeh 25-12, 25-18, 25-17, led by Noelle Laird, who had nine kills and a pair of aces Thursday night. Catherine Ikdea had 15 assists and five digs and Josie Kelly added 20 assists and four digs. Bella Casola chipped in with nine digs and three aces for the Royals, who improve to 20-5 on the year and 8-3 in the PAC 8.

Atascadero 3, Righetti 0

Kaylee Griffin had 14 kills and three blocks in the Greyhounds 25-22, 25-15, 25-21, straight set victory. Jessie Featherstone had 11 kills and 11 digs and Macie Piers posted nine kills, and an ace. Brooke Harbottle notched 37 assists and 13 digs for Atascadero (14-13, 5-6 PAC 8), who take on San Luis Obispo on Tuesday.

Arroyo Grande 3, Paso Robles 0

Ashlyn Herlihy and Emily Sonny had 10 kills each to lead Arroyo Grande 25-10, 25-11, 25-15, over the Bearcats. Bynn Thoming added seven kills and Juju Fuller registered seven digs for the Eagles (16-2, 10-1 PAC 8), who play Friday night in San Marco.

Kiara Gable had five kills and three blocks and Kalyn Armstrong added two kills and two blocks for Paso Robles. Riley Austin posted nine digs and Sydnie Esser had two kills and eight assists for the Bearcats (9-6, 5-6).

San Luis Obispo 3, Pioneer Valley 0

The Tigers won 25-6, 25-14, 25-15, led by CeCe Devaney, who had six kills and two aces. Sofie Janette had 20 assists and two aces and Dasha Novotny had five kills for San Luis Obispo. Molly Eppright chipped in with six digs for the Tigers (19-9, 10-1 PAC 8).

Nipomo 3, Morro Bay 1

Mackenzie Bland had 10 kills and Hope Goodall had four aces and 27 digs in Nipomo’s 25-17, 25-20, 21-25, 25-16, win over Morro Bay. Nipomo faces Templeton on Tuesday.

Templeton 3, Santa Maria 0

The Eagles swept 25-7, 25-15, 27-25, behind Lauren Ralston’s six kills and Emily Burns’ 10 kills. Hannah McRoy had 20 assists and five aces on the night for Templeton.

Coast Union 3, Shandon 0

Xue DiMaggio had seven kills and GiGi Stoothoff had nine aces as the Broncos won in straight sets 25-14, 25-11, 25-8. Ahtziri Mora had six more aces and Regan Kniffen chipped in with four aces and three kills for Coast Union (12-3, 9-0 Coast Valley League).
