The San Luis Obispo girls volleyball team swept Arroyo Grande in straight sets 25-20, 25-16, 25-21, on Tuesday night to hand the Eagles their first league loss of the season.
It was the first loss in league play for the Eagles since the 2011-2012 season, when San Luis Obispo beat them 3-1.
Holland Boege had 15 kills, seven digs and two aces, and Morgan Day added 14 kills and 10 digs for the Tigers.
“We really made the adjustments (since the last time the two teams played),” said coach Marcie Beddall, whose team improves to 9-1 in the PAC 8. “Obviously AG wants to set their big middle hitters…we spent all day yesterday practicing blocking the middle.”
