Arroyo Grande basketball won a CIF championship. Now they’ll be featured on milk cartons
The Arroyo Grande boys basketball is being featured on Crystal Creamery milk cartons in honor of its Central Section Division 2 championship.
“To recognize the success, hard work and commitment put forth by student athletes, coaches, and their families, Crystal Creamery is delivering their latest commemorative milk cartons this week,” the company announced in a news release.
The Eagles’ logo will be featured next to 35 other schools including Mountain League foe St. Joseph.
The other schools featured on the cartons come from the Sac-Joaquin, Central and North Coast Sections.
“These commemorative cartons have proven to be very popular with the student athletes, their classmates and the fans of local section champions,” said Brian Carden, vice president of sales and marketing for Crystal Creamery. “Our cartons are a great way to mark one of the most memorable moments of both the student athlete and their classmates’ young lives.”
The Eagles dominated the Division 2 playoffs with a 71-point differential across four games, including a 29-point blowout in the championship game against Porterville.
The Eagles finished in third place in the Mountain League with a 10-4 record and a 22-10 record overall.
The team was led by seniors Adam Silmon and Noah Morris along with juniors Zach Soriano and Nic Simmons.
