Seedings are out for high school basketball playoffs. Here’s who SLO County teams will play

CIF announced playoff seedings for Central Section high school basketball on Saturday, and 12 San Luis Obispo County teams are in the tournament.

All first-round games will be held Wednesday evening for the local high school teams who made the postseason.

Here’s a look at who they’ll face and where they’ll be playing.

Mountain League boys

Mission Prep, Arroyo Grande and Atascadero are the San Luis Obispo County teams in the Mountain League that will move onto the CIF playoffs.

In Division 1, the Royals (20-8, 12-2) will take on Bullard (18-11, 8-2) at home. Mission is the No. 8 seed in Division 1, and Bullard is the 9 seed.

In Division 2, third-place Arroyo Grande (18-9, 10-4) is the No. 2 seed and will host No. 15 Roosevelt (17-9, 13-1).

In Division 3, sixth-place Atascadero (12-17, 4-10) is the No. 15 seed and will travel to No. 2 Independence (13-14, 6-2).

Ocean League boys

San Luis Obispo, Nipomo and Templeton made it out of Ocean League play into the playoffs.

The Tigers (21-8, 12-2), the Ocean League champs, are the 13 seed in Division 2 and play Porterville (20-9, 8-2) on the road.

The Titans finished behind the Tigers in league and are the No. 5 team in Division 4. Nipomo (18-11, 11-3) will host Fresno Christian (20-8).

Templeton is also in Division 4, as the 13 seed. The Eagles (17-11, 10-4) travel to No. 4 Cesar Chavez (21-7, 11-1) for their matchup.

Ocean League girls

Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo and Templeton will represent the Ocean League in the playoffs.

The league-winning Bearcats (20-8, 13-1) are the 5 seed in Division 3 and play 12 seed Ridgeview at home (13-10, 4-4).

Also in Division 3, the No. 13 Tigers (16-12, 12-2) take on 4 seed Fresno (20-8, 11-3) on the road. The Tigers finished second in the Ocean League.

The Eagles (8-15, 4-10) are the 15 seed and will battle against 2 seed Fresno Christian in their Division 5 first-round game.

Mountain League girls

Arroyo Grande, Nipomo, Mission Prep and Morro Bay are the Mountain League girls representatives in the postseason.

The Eagles (17-11, 7-7), who finished fourth in league play, are the 9 seed in Division 1 and go on the road to No. 8 Caruthers (23-6, 14-0).

Also in Division 1, the Titans (18-8, 7-7) are the 11 seed and will travel to 6 seed San Joaquin Memorial (18-8, 10-0).

In Division 2, the Royals (11-15, 4-10) are the 14 seed and will travel to 3 seed Sierra Pacific (20-8, 8-0) after placing sixth in league play.

And in Division 3, No. 10 Morro Bay (11-16, 2-12) will travel to No. 6 Lemoore (14-12, 5-5).
