What’s in store for high school football playoffs? CIF releases SLO County matchups

The California Interscholastic Federation recently released its Central Section playoff matchups for 2022.

A number of San Luis Obispo County high school football teams are playing in championship games.

In Division II, Paso Robles (No. 9) will face off against No. 8 Sanger (No. 8) on Friday, according to MaxPreps.com.

In Division III, the No. 1 team, Mission Prep, has a bye week.

Arroyo Grande (No. 9) will play Chavez (No. 8) on Friday, while San Luis Obispo (No. 10) will take on Mission Oak (No. 7).

Atascadero, the No. 2-ranked team in Division V, also has a bye week.

Division V matchups on Friday include Templeton (No. 4) versus Roosevelt (No. 13) and Morro Bay (No. 6) versus Golden Valley (No. 11).

All games start at 7 p.m., according to MaxPreps.

The playoff schedule for CIF’s Southern Section, which includes Coast Union, had not yet been released as of Sunday.
