Matt Hansen qualifies for Web.com Tour Qualifying School final stage

Los Osos native and Morro Bay High graduate Matt Hansen qualified for the final stage of the Web.com Tour Qualifying School on Friday, finishing tied for 13th place at the Clubs of Kingwood-Deerwood in Kingwood, Texas.

Hansen carded a 5-under 283. The top 21 and ties advanced.

Hansen will compete in the finals, scheduled for Dec. 10-13 at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

According to the Web.com Tour website, qualifying for the final stage earns the golfer “at least conditional status on the Web.com Tour in 2016.”
