Cuesta College baseball team downs Riverside City College

The Cuesta College men’s baseball team beat Riverside City College 5-2 on the road Saturday.

A pair of runs in the sixth inning broke a 2-2 tie and the Cougars tacked on a security run in the eighth.

Cayce Rocco drove in Will Ruiz for the go ahead run. Rocco would score an insurance run on a RBI double by Dustin Miller to make it 4-2.

Ruiz went 3-for-5 on the day.

Sabino Ramirez (3-1) lasted 5 2/3 innings for Riverside (8-3), allowing four runs on 11 hits and struck out four in his first loss of the season.
