Cuesta baseball tops College of Sequoias 6-3
Sophomore pitcher Neil Uskali earned a victory in his first career start, and the Cuesta College baseball smacked 12 hits en route to a 6-3 win over College of Sequoias on Tuesday.
Uskali survived a bumpy first inning for Cuesta and pitched into the 9th inning before giving way to sophomore Dan Beavers, who earned his second save of the year.
Uskali allowed two earned runs and struck out six.
At the plate, sophomore Garrett Giovanelli drove in four runs for the Cougars.
Cuesta plays at Riverside on Friday and Saturday
