Cuesta baseball falls to Moorpark
The Cuesta College baseball team lost 9-5 to Moorpark at home Thursday after giving up four runs in the third inning and never recovering.
Dustin Miller stole home in the first inning to give the Cougars (14-14, 9-7 Western State Conference North Division) an early 1-0 lead, but Moorpark came back to score four runs in the third and another four in the fifth inning for an 8-1 lead.
The Cougars cut the lead to four after a pair of runs in the eighth inning but couldn’t get any closer.
Josh Falco went 2 for 3 with a pair of runs for the Cougars, and TK McWhertor went 2 for 5 with a RBI.
