College volleyball: Cuesta loses to Los Angeles Mission College in five sets

The Cuesta women’s volleyball team fell to Los Angeles Mission College in five sets 21-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-17, 13-15 in a matchup at home Friday.

The Cougars were led by freshman Maren Cracknell, an Atascadero High graduate, who had nine kills. Sophomore Jackie Gocobachi also contributed eight kills for Cuesta.

Cuesta plays Los Angeles Pierce College in Woodland Hills next Friday. The Cougars are 6-11 overall, and 0-3 in Western State Conference play.
