The Cuesta women’s water polo team split a pair of games at their own Cuesta Rabobank Tournament on Saturday, finishing in fifth place.
The Cougars beat Long Beach City College 10-8 in the first game, after jumping out to a 5-2 lead in the first quarter.
Santa Barbara City College beat Cuesta 12-10 in the second match.
The two teams will play one another again on Wednesday as apart of their Western State Conference schedule.

Emily Crane had six assists on the day, setting a new school record with 47 assists in a season. The previous record was 45, set in 2007 by Laura Oneto. Crane also had three goals in the two games.
Rebekah Hernandez had five goals over the two games, and Tarah Salazar and Morro Bay High grad Katie White had four.
Sam Baker posted 21 saves on the day in goal for the Cougars.
