Cuesta College volleyball team falls to Santa Barbara City

The Cuesta College women’s volleyball team lost to fourth-ranked Santa Barbara City in straight sets Friday night, 25-11, 25-20, 25-20, in the Cougars’ Western State Conference opener.

Freshman Kylei O’Keefe led the Cougars with six kills and added three blocks. Gabby David had five kills and nine digs, Emily O’Brien led the team with 17 digs and Lillie Rodriguez had seven assists.

Cuesta plays at Ventura on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Cougars are 6-9 overall, and 0-1 in Western State Conference play.
