Cuesta College women’s soccer falls to Allan Hancock

The Cuesta College women’s soccer team remained winless since Sept. 8 despite outshooting their opponent 12-7 in a 1-0 loss to Allan Hancock on Tuesday afternoon.

Bonnie Zuniga scored the game’s only goal, off a free kick in the 56th minute.

Both teams were cited with yellow cards, Allan Hancock’s Heidi Cortez in the 59th and Cuesta’s Alyssa Harris in the 73rd.

Allan Hancock goalkeeper Karime Morales finished the game with eight saves, while Cuesta’s Sarah Siems had six.

The Bulldogs improved their record to 4-6 overall and 2-3 in the WSC. Cuesta (2-9-4, 0-4-1 WSC) travel to play Ventura Friday night.
