Cal Poly track team sweeps decathalon, heptathlon at Jim Klein Invitational

The Cal Poly track and field team swept the decathalon and heptathlon events on the final day of the Jim Klein Multi-Event Invitational on Friday.

Mustang Senior Devin Bennett won the decathalon with a 7,087 total, the fifth best score in school history.

Jacob Rickman was second out of a field of 13 for the Mustangs, with a final score of 6,653.

Cal Poly junior Jessica Rasmussen won the heptathlon on the women’s side with 4,504 points, followed by teammate Kirb Ruback in fourth (4,172) and Keana Viss fifth (4,168).
