Cal Poly women’s golf team in seventh place at tournament in Seal Beach

The Cal Poly women’s golf team is tied for seventh place after two rounds of play at The Gold Rush hosted by Long Beach State on Monday at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.

The Mustangs have a four-player score of 608, tied for seventh with Boise State. USC is first at 571, Fresno State (587) is second and Long Beach State (594) is third.

Madison Hirsch was tied for 17th place after carding a 4-over 148 on the 6,097-yard, par-72 course. Jamie Binns was tied for 30th at 7-over 151 and Jamie Harada was tied for 38th at 9-over 153.

USC’s Robynn Ree was the individual leader at 3-under 141, two shots ahead of teammate Tiffany Chan.
