Cal Poly women’s basketball team downs Cal State Fullerton
The Cal Poly women’s basketball team beat Cal State Fullerton 63-57 in a Big West Conference matchup in Fullerton on Thursday night.
Beth Balbierz led the way with five 3-pointers in the second quarter and finished with 22 points. Hannah Gilbert added 20 points and had five rebounds and two blocks.
Dynn Leaupepe scored 16 points and had 11 rebounds for the Mustangs (12-13, 5-7 Big West Conference).
Cal State Fullerton (2-24, 0-12) was held without a basket in the final 5:50.
Cal Poly will play CSUN on the road in a game on ESPN3 at 4 p.m.
