Cal Poly’s Kendal Nielsen takes second in triple jump at Washington meet

Cal Poly’s Kendal Nielson finished second in the triple jump at the Husky Classic Indoor Meet on Saturday in Seattle.

Nielsen posted a distance of 40 feet, 2 1/4 inches on her second attempt, a personal best indoor mark. Andrea Geubelle won the event with a mark of 44 feet.

Danielle Taylor took sixth in the high jump, clearing 5-5 3/4 , while Mishe’ Scott took eighth in the long jump at 18-1 3/4 .

The Mustangs’ 1,600 relay team of Jessica Rasmussen, A’Jah Love, Ralaina LiDrazzah and Anna Carskaden took ninth in 3 minutes, 57.78 seconds.
