Cal Poly wrestling team rallies for win over Grand Canyon

The Cal Poly wrestling team came back from a six-point deficit to beat Grand Canyon 25-12 in a nonconference dual meet Saturday night at Mott Athletics Center.

Blake Kastl won with a first period pin of Casey Larson at 165 pounds for the Mustangs (2-7), who trailed 12-6 after six bouts.

Jacob Leon (149) and Colt Shorts (157) each won by technical fall.

J.T Goodwin (197), David Gonzalez (125) and Travis Berridge (174) also won for the Mustangs.

Grand Canyon fell to 5-16.

Cal Poly hosts Oregon State on Friday at 7 p.m.
