Four Cal Poly women compete in indoor track season opener
Jessica Rasmussen had a 20th place finish in the pentathlon for the top finish of four competitors from the Cal Poly women’s track and field team at the UW Invitational, the indoor season opener, on Friday in Seattle.
Rasmussen had 3,307 points, well off the pace set by winner Lindsay Lettow of the Santa Barbara Track Club, who had 4,148 points.
Rasmussen exceeded her indoor personal best in the long jump by more than a foot, hitting 17 feet, 6 1/4 inches.
Three Mustangs were in the 200, with A’Jah Love finishing 24th in 25.64 seconds.
Jessica Escalante was 27th in 25.72 seconds, and Ralaina LiDrazzah was 34th in 25.93 seconds.
The meet continue Saturday, with competition beginning at 10 a.m.
