Cal Poly wrestling team loses to Duke

The Cal Poly wrestling team dropped a 28-18 decision to Duke on Sunday night in a nonconference meet at the Mott Athletics Center.

Colt Shorts won at 157 pounds for Cal Poly (1-5), and Mitch Woods won at 184 pounds. Schrab Movahedi (174) and David Gonzalez (125) each won by forfeit.

Duke’s Connor Harmann, ranked No. 5 by Intermat, pinned Cal Poly’s J.T. Goodwin in 20 seconds at 197 pounds. The Blue Devils improved to 2-5 on the season.

The Mustangs travel to Northern Colorado on Friday.
