Cal Poly men’s basketball team defeats UT San Antonio 88-73
The Cal Poly men’s basketball team beat UTSA 88-73, with seven players in double figures. David Nwaba had 12 points and five assists, and Reese Morgan, Josh Martin and Luke Meikle each added 12 points for the Mustangs.
Cal Poly jumped out to a 51-26 lead at the end of the first half.
The Mustangs shot 47.1 percent from the floor (32 of 68) and had 23 assists to UTSA’s 13.
The Mustangs held UTSA to 37.5 percent from the field.
Cal Poly will play Texas A&M on Dec. 29 before beginning Big West Conference play.
