Cal Poly’s Peyton Bilo finishes 172nd at NCAA Cross Country Championships

Cal Poly’s Peyton Bilo, a true freshman, finished 172nd at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Louisville, Ky.

Bilo finished the 6K course at Tom Sawyer State Park in 21 minutes, 20.9 seconds.

Notre Dame’s Molly Seidel won the race, finishing in 19:28.6. Boise State freshman Allie Ostrander was second in 19:33.6.

New Mexico won the team championship with 49 points, and Colorado was second at 129 points.

The finish at the NCAA Championships wrapped up a sterling freshman season for Bilo. She earned All-West Region honors, finishing 12th at the NCAA West Regionals in Seattle last week, and was the Big West Conference Freshman of the Year this season.
