Cal Poly’s Caleb Davies wins swim race in blistering pace
Cal Poly’s Caleb Davies won the men’s 100-yard breaststroke Friday at the A3 Performance Invitational meet at East Los Angeles College.
Davies won in a time of 54.70 seconds, the third-fastest time in school history.
Bonnie Diamond took second place in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing in 1:49.29, the second-fastest time in the event in school history.
The men’s 800-yard freestyle relay team of Jack Jenner, Noland Newland, Pearu Pold and Dominic Dalpiaz finished fourth in 6:40.31.
The men’s team was in third place with 540 points, and the women’s team is eighth with 402 points.
