Cal Poly volleyball team loses conference match at home
The Cal Poly volleyball team dropped a five-set match to UC Davis on Saturday at Mott Athletics Center, the Mustangs’ first Big West Conference loss at home this season.
Adlee Van Winden amassed a career-high 22 kills for the second straight match, and Taylor Gruenewald added 14 kills for Cal Poly (17-6, 9-3 Big West) in a 25-19, 19-25, 25-17, 21-25, 13-15 loss.
Taylor Nelson had 52 assists, and Nicole Kessler had 25 digs for the Mustangs.
Kaylin Squyres had 19 kills for UC Davis (13-14, 8-5 Big West).
Cal Poly travels to UC Riverside on Friday.
