Cuesta College women’s basketball riding high after tournament championship
Fresh off its championship in the Hawks Classic tournament over the weekend, the Cuesta College women’s basketball season heads into the College of the Sequoia’s Central Valley Conference Tournament on Friday in Visalia boasting a 4-2 overall record to start the season.
Cuesta beat Hawks Classic hosts Las Positas 82-50 on Saturday on the strength of Madison Collins’ 27 points. Taylor Neal scored 18, Courtney Barba 14 and Tawny Lino 12 as four players reached double figures for the game.
Collins was named the tournament’s MVP, while Lino and Barba were all-tournament selections.
