This funny mashup wonders if Joe Biden was listing states he won or the NIT field
It’s been a weird year for ACC basketball.
Defending national champion Virginia has won six straight games and has gone from an NIT berth to a likely NCAA Tournament appearance. But that’s not a lock as the Cavaliers aren’t a top-eight seed in some projections. At 13-17, North Carolina would take that NIT bid.
In the SEC, Tennessee and Alabama are barely above .500, while Arkansas appears to be on the bubble. In the Big 12, Oklahoma’s chances of making the Big Dance took a hit with Tuesday’s ugly home loss to Texas.
Minnesota, in the Big Ten, is going to need help just to make the NIT.
So why point out the struggles of those particular teams? As it so happens, those are among the 10 states former Vice President Joe Biden won in Tuesday’s Democratic primaries.
Biden gleefully listen them off, and an intrepid Twitter user shared the video with the message, “NIT bracket reveal.”
