WATCH: Ernie Els’ Masters meltdown and social media’s reaction

Most golf fans by now have seen four-time major winner Ernie Els’ nightmare start to the Masters on Thursday, a mind-boggling six putt on the par-4 first hole that likely sunk his hopes for a green jacket. Els totaled a 9 for the hole, the worst on the first hole in Masters history by a stroke.

It was hard to watch, but even harder to look away.

That’s the stuff of nightmares for any golfer. But you may have missed social media’s reaction, which at the expense of the poor man is priceless.
