Morro Bay boys soccer beats Santa Ynez in overtime
The Morro Bay boys soccer team beat Santa Ynez for the first time in four years 3-2 in overtime at home on Thursday. Morro Bay played a man down from halfway through the first quarter to the end, and were two men down for the final three minutes.
Charlie Codron scored first before Santa Ynez tied it at 1-1. Isaac Manuputy scored the second goal in the second period of overtime to put Morro Bay up 2-1 before Santa Ynez tied it again.
Exchange student Jorge Montesdeoca scored the winner on a headed assist by Manuputy.
The team graduates 10 seniors and exchange students and finishes with a 9-10-2 overall record and 5-8-1 in the Los Padres League
