Prep boys soccer roundup: Morro Bay loses league opener to Santa Maria

The Morro Bay boys soccer team opened Los Padres League play Tuesday night with a 3-1 loss to visiting Santa Maria.

Morro Bay’s Jon Rios scored on a goal that was assisted by Isaac Manuputy, and Santa Maria (8-3-1, 1-0 LPL) got its sixth win in seven games.

Morro Bay (0-3-1, 0-1 LPL) travels to Cabrillo on Thursday.
